4 gigs memory question
Running an HP xw6000 pc running Windows 2000 server with 1 gig memory.
Have installed SQL Server and now I want to insert more memory.
Windows 2003 server requires a special switch (I think it is the /3 switch) in the bootini (I think) file when the machine has 4 gigs memory.
My question: What special switch does Windows 2000 server require?

Or you can try the /PAE switch
The /PAE switch is only used on advanced sever systems with more than 4Gb RAM
Correct I thought that was the question.
I dont think so - no reference to "advanced server" and the question specifically states >> when the machine has 4 gigs memory <<
