Issues with software distribution on widows server 2003

I setup a server running software distribution through the group policy's unfortunately the AD corrupted and lost all of the AD however all the data was intact. Ive just rebuilt the server AD and group policy's from note. When i disconnected and rejoined the computers all the links to the old software distribution were still there and all the links started up but failed because the software was no longer there. Is there a way of removing this data from the local machine I've found a folder called software distribution within the windows folder and assuming it has something to do with that. I just need to be sure or if there are any other ways to cure the system.

Many thanks

I think you are talking about he application install path which is in each applications settings during install. The only way we found was to hack the registry and replace the paths with the correct new ones. If I recall, uninstall doesn't work either.

Thinking a little further, get one going by hacking the registry, export the relevant sections, then import into each client. Could use Kix script or similar to roll it out.
