Unable to delete re-occurring entries in a Lotus Notes calendar
We are unable to delete any re-occurring calendar entries for one of our Lotus Notes users. When they try and delete the one instance they receive and error messaging stating "no resume", if they then try to delete the one instance again it will delete that single entry. When they try to delete all instances notes will just hang up and never unlock it, I have even left it over a 24 hour period and lotus note stays locked up. We have tried to delete the entry on his computer as well as on the admin's computer and results were the same. We also ran a compact, updall and fixup and the problem persists.

When I click on views then all documents I do not see the calender entry listed. Is it possible that the entry was re-moved from the mail file without it being removed from the calander?
Depending on the version,
who created the entry,
and who has edit rights
, repeating entries can be a pain to fix.
Check out whne and who created the entry, and who else has rights to edit, and start with the author/ creator of the entry. The author has the best chance of deleting it.
If it shows in the calendar but not in All Docs view, then check the IBM site for known issues with repeating entries
Also, updating the mail template / client may help.

I did just notice that he has "Don't display new calendar entries and notices in the All Documents view of mail" selected, which might be why they dont show up in the all documents view. I would assume that unchecking it would not cause old entries to appear. Any ideas's where I might find another view to delete the calendar entries?

Try to switch off soft deletions checkbox on mail database advanced properties.
or, switch off deletion controls at all:
Deletions are controlled by Sub Querydocumentdelete in Database Sript.
Try to add " Exit Sub " right on the first line of Sub and try to delete documents then.
Line can be removed afterwards manually or by design refresh.

The message "No resume" indicates a programming error. If the server is R7, did you try after upgrading one mail database to the R7-template?

We do not use the r7 template, but I did try changing the template to r7 then back to what we use and the problem still was happening
No, don't change it back, just keep using the R7 template and see if the same problem still exists.
By the way, there is no harm whatsoever in using the R7 template on an R7 server with an R6 Notes client: they are designed to cooperate. But you could make a backup of the test database if you want, before changing it to R7.

Hi,I am having an issue where a repeating calendar entry is appearing multiple times in a day in my calendar and I cannot delete it. Can this please be removed from the server side?Thanks!
If I click delete it does nothing
If I click decline it says: Unable to open the main calendar document. Prompt user before searching on the appointment UNID

Try to delete repeating entries in "All documents" view instead of calendar.
