How is it possible that the Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250gb hard drive, retailing at only $65, beats out the $150 WD Raptor? o.o

They have 300mb 10k rpm raptors now.

The question was rather vague, Is this a fast PC... short answer is yes.
Are there faster? Yes

But this system has a nice price/performance ratio.

This smells alot like a customized configured HP Pavillion d5000t series
and as such he/she is going to be limited in configuration choices.

Personally I would make different choices,  but to each his/her own.

good input guys. and this is the m9200t series custom mod up.

It is going to be a file server/office pc, nothing more. So I didn't need mega video. I'm gongi to slap some terabytes in it and we should be ok
