Update multiple records with condition

In my script I am trying to update my table office_employee with new translated job titles.
Inf French the translation of job titles can be different for males and females.  There fore I need to have
my script update the office_employee table based upon the gender column in another table employee.
When I run the script below I get get no results.   The condition should be:  change the french Job_title to xxxx where the emp_id matches the emp_id in the  employee table and then only update the fr_job_title with the apprpate translation based upon gender.

UPDATE OFFICE_EMPLOYEE
SET FR_JOB_TITLE = 'xxxx'
WHERE JOB_TITLE = 'Senior Business Solutions Adviser' AND
OFFICE_EMPLOYEE.EMP_ID = EMPLOYEE.EMP_ID AND
EMPLOYEE.GENDER = 'M'
