Out of Office - Auto Forward

Hi All,

Must be missing something, anyway, we have a 2003 SBS box running Exchange 2003 SP2 and Outlook 2003,

The user wants to have a Out of Office reply (Which works OK) to internal and external after ticking the box in global settings,

However have a rule within Out of Office "if" email comes from a certain email address to forward this to a yahoo account,

This does not work, OK if both email addresses are internal, but not if external, I assume I'll need to setup an AD object for the yahoo account, but I'm I missing something else or is this not possible?

Outlook won't be running and ticking the boxes for auto forward in global settings (Exchange Manager)makes no difference,

Many Thanks,

To clarify...

How I would forward to a yahoo address is by creating a contact in AD (right clicking an an OU and selecting New > Contact) and setting the email address to the yahoo account.

Then tick the box in AD under User > Properties > Exchange General > Click on the Delivery Options button > select the "Forward To" radio button and enter the newly created contact into that field.

That should work.
hi it is possible.
First of wall you need to create a contact in your Active Directory
To do that you open Active Directory user and computer .
New Contact (Take a look to the image bellow it´s more easy)

Hi All, many thanks for the replies, however the user only wants emails "from" a certain sender to be forwarded to the yahoo account, not every email, which is proving to be tricky,
Hi all spoken to the contact, and they decided not to worry about it, so thank you for replying and I'll award the points, I don't think it is possible to do what they wanted and too break it down to than level, I will award the points, : - )
