Thank you.. the user can however receive mail from external recipients addressed to her email address that goes to her mailbox. It's only when i send to the distribution group email address when he does not receive it even though he is a member of that group. There is a external address listed under exchange properties and email addresses.

Ok, can you please make this test go to the user proprieties then select the Member of Tab select the distribution, verify if the domain users is defined as the primary group.<br />

Try rebuilding the GAL (Recipients -&gt; Recipients Update Services -&gt; Rebuild both list)

Question: I recently created a new distribution group on our exchange server and added all asociated members to it. A new user was added to the network and needed to become part of the same distribtion group. I now find that the new user that i added to the group only receives mail from internal users only and not external recipients. What could be causing this? The server is using SBS server 2003 with exchange. Please help.

Why does a member of a distribution group not receive mail from external recipients?
