"Messaging interface has caused an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart outlook"

Using Windows XP Pro with SP2 and Outlook 2003 connected to a local exchangeserver that pops a webmailserver.
My problem is not related to anything else but Outlook itself though.

When I try to print a mail, Outlook replies: "Messaging interface has caused an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart outlook".
I have tried using unicode, html and utf, but not succeeded, Google gives a billion different answers but none can be applied to this specific problem.

Does anyone have any idea whatsoever what to do?

For some strange reason (blame my IT-staff!), I have Outlook version 2003, but Office 2007, that would be the Basic version I presume. Maybe that has something to do with it, I dunno...?

Have spoken to a friend at MS, he informed me that this is an internal compability issue that *may* arise when installing Office 2007 on top of 2003, regardless what SP's are installed for 2003. So the solution, however boring as it may sound, is to remove everything and reinstall 2007 with Outlook 2007.

He couldnt be more precise or specific regarding details of the problem, just that "we are aware of it, but dont have a solution for it, at least not at the moment".

Thanks for all your support!
