Password policies and Active Sync

We are currently planning to finally implement a strong password policy in our environment. Some of our users are using windows mobile devices (Moguls/w Windows mobile 6). Originally when active sync settings are configured on the device the username and password are hard coded in the server settings. This works fine until the domain password for the user is changed. Once this happens, the user has to imput their new password for the sync process to occur. There probably is a way aroud this and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
