MSSQL 2000 Server vs. MSSQL 2005 Compatibility Mode
Greetings,
Can anyone explain to me the difference between running a database on a SQL 200 server vs running the same database on a SQL 2005 server in SQL 2000 (80) mode.
We are trying to move our various databases on to a single, high powered SQL 2005 Cluster. Some of the older servers are running SQL2000. I would think that I could move a SQL 2000 database to the new cluster and run it in compatibilty mode, but I am getting resistance from a few vendors.
Thanks
