RIMM, Blackberry, 8830, Sub-Folders in BB are not syncing with Outlook

User has a BB 8830.   Folders for "redirection" on the BB have all been checked.  Issue is:  some sub-folders are syncing fine and perfectly match the Outlook sub-folders.  Some folders have "no messages" in the BB subfolder (but do have messages in Outlook subfolders).  Some folders have "some" messages and are missing other messages when compared to the Outlook.  A forced reconcile now does not help.  Unchecking and rechecking redirection boxes does not help.  Moving messages back to inbox on the desktop, reconciling and then removing the message to the subfolder does not help.  Messages are moved to subfolders manually - no auto assignment to subfolders.

Unfortunately what I thought was the solution is not.
1.  Understoond re the messages in Inbox prior to sync.  This has been taken into acct and ruled out where applicable.

2.  Folder redirection is set up on BES and has been checked and unchecked on the BB numerous times.

3.  Do not use desktop mgr.

We are in a hurricane zone so Bes server (there are 2 for redundancy) are in a different state which makes things a bit more cumbersome when making changes / setting up users.  Our IT does not recommend using the desktop mgr.

Bottom line:  Email in BB sub-folders is inconsistent:  
1.  Some perfect match to Outlook
2.  Some with NO email (some as recent at 1 week ago)
3.  Some with recent mail and missing recent mail.
Any other suggestions?  Redirection settings and set-up on a double check for accuracy appear to be all fine.


The old messages wont sync if they were there before the last activation on your device(when you last sync'd doesn't really matter). If they delete and re-create your account on the bes that should solve the problem, I dont think you would need to wipe the device but I honestly dont remeber(but it wouldn't hurt).

The big question is .. Do you have this problem with new email at all, and if so is some of it ok and some of it not? or is this just with old messages in your email
