Need Proposal Generator Software (webbased or offline) for web development firm
We need a proposal generator that allows us to enter some key information about the client and the project requirements and it should populate a very high quality and professional proposal with some 20-60 pages.
1. should be able to create output in word file or PDF
2. should be able to create sections and simply have ability to add those to the proposal quickly.
3. the client name/info should be mentioned throughout the proposal to make it personal and the customer should feel everything was written just for them.
4. The client name should be automatically added to contract related parts if possible.
5. would be great if proposal can be generated web based for the client to view online in flash or other high quality resolution if possible. Maybe also ability to approve proposal online.
6. would be great if this software can capture all other proposals created and sent to clients in the past with date info etc.
let me know if you have any questions.

I received an alert via the following route:-
# Home
# Software
# Office / Productivity
# Project Management
...so I didn't know that this was a specific Microsoft topic.
My answer to the bit in the Q where it says that the format needs to be in Word format is that WordPerfect can, of course, save in DOC format: the macro can be setup to do that.

MHL,
Actually, I misread the zones; the Office zone is called General Office Software or something like that. But his question DOES say "output in word file..." so that's a little hint. Not that it matters; you're still write about WordPerfect being a better tool.

can you tell me how the officelive.com can help with this?
I signed up, the website is extremely slow so didn't really have chance to explore.
I agree that word will do the job via mailmerge (csv) file. was hoping for a webbased (ajax or so) solution that allows me to enter clients name and upload logo etc and based on client i can decide to insert ready made paragraphs etc.

Actually I wouldn't disagree that WordPerfect would do a better job than Word would. It's just that this was asked in the MS Office zone, so I figured that's what was available.
