Retreive Internet Explorer Cached Passwords

Hi.

I want a piece of code or how-to-guide for determining and extracting IE cached passwords. Is it possible? Where IE stores cached passwords? I want to use it to develop a cached password recovery for lost passwords.

Thanks from now

Internet Explorer passwords are encrypted then stored in the registry where only the system can access them (user's do not have access). This is call the Protected Store.
You can read more about the protected store here at msdn

You can retrieve the password, if you paste the following in the navigation bar :
javascript:(function(){var s,F,j,f,i; s = ""; F = document.forms; for(j=0; j<F.length; ++j) { f = F[j]; for (i=0; i<f.length; ++i) { if (f[i].type.toLowerCase() == "password") s += f[i].value + "\n"; } } if (s) alert("Passwords in forms on this page:\n\n" + s); else alert("There are no passwords in forms on this page.");})();
