toolbar functions for crystal reports not working when deployed on server

I am facing a problem with .net web application that uses crystal report viewers to view reports developed using crystal report XI.  This problem ocurred when I tried to deploy the application to a web server along with all the dlls.  Althouhg I was able to view the report (finally !!!), the toolbar was not displayed and not functioning at all.

I have read a similar problem which suggested, to solve it by copying the C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\aspnet_client folder from the machine that is functioning well to the server, and also to change the permisions for users.  I tried both suggestions, and nothing worked.

Can anyone please help, as I am running out of solutions!
Thanks alot.

How did you build the installatiion package?
Did you use the merge modules?

What version of Crystal?

Actually I didn't use an installation package or merge modules, I used the copy website feature from visual studio, to copy the site from my machine  to the remote server, to deploy the web application.
The version of the crystal report is 10.

correction the :crystal report I am using is developed using crystal Reports XI

That may not copy all the required Crystal dlls.

I have deployed the crystal assemblies, using windows MSI, which I got by creating an installer package, and then checking the prerequisite for crystal reports.  And I have allso explicitly added the crystal decision dlls, to the bin folder.

Could you please tell me,  what are the other required dlls?.  And also explain the recommended deployment steps, on a server that doesn't have visual studio installed.

Thanks alot  mlmcc for your help.  I read the section about web app deployement, and followed the steps.
However, the toolbar was still having the broken links.  Then I realized that the toolbar images path that point to the folder aspnet_client were wrong.  I solved this problem by creating a virtual directory inside the web application to read the correct path.

Is this the right way to do it? i.e each time I create a web application, another virtual directory need to be added to point to aspnet_client  folder.  Or can I make the aspnet_client folder as a web application, and change the location of the images from the report viewer controls?
