Mac OS X - VNC curson becomes QUESTION mark - unable to type.

We use VNC to access a Mac OS X 10.5 server from Win XP PCs.

After Pressing CTRL C (copy) the mouse cursor becomes a Question Mark and typing is not possible unless you press CTRL, SHIFT or ALT keys. I could not get rid of the Question Mark Cursor/Mouse Point unless I reboot the server.

- Closing and reconnecting the VNC connection does not help (? point still there),
- Using different VNC viewer does not help (Tight VNC, Ultra VNC), the ? pointer is still there.
- I literally pressed all sorts of key combinations but it does not deactivate the ? pointer.
