I have set up a NAS which has a ftp feature.
I can acess it locally on my LAN
I need to access it via the web.
Forward Port 21 on your firewall to your LAN IP. Access your FTP by typing in FTP://publicIPAddress/share

Is that udp or tcp ? Have I to do both?
TCP
ASKER
ok I have done like so
ftp external port internel port protocal ip enabled
80 21 21 192.168.1.77 [x]
then I get the usual error:
Windows cannot access the folder ....... make sure you have permission ... and the file name exists.
Is there a cmd line way to check this?
ASKER
Sorry I typed that wrong - its like so:
ftp external port internel port protocal ip enabled
21 21 tcp 192.168.1.77 [x]
You orignal question says the ip of the NAS FTP is 192.168.1.66 so forward to that not 192.168.1.77 otherwise it looks fine.

I think I know what the issue is but will sleep on it!

Has this been worked out yet?
