25-35% CPU Load for Hardware Interrupts

Hi there,
I've seen that taskman give me Idle Cicle at 99% but CPU load at 25-35% costant. I've runned Process Explorer (Sysinternal) and it give me that CPU Use 25-35 % for Hardware Interrupt.
I've tried to disable all the services (one by one) but nothing is changed.
Try to detach an USB hub with some peripherical on it but nothing is changed.
In events viewer i've seen just a NetBT 4307 Error caused by an Application error tiwlancu.exe at start time, but i don't think that it's relevant for this strange hardware interrupt issue.

Another strange thing is that this pc doesn't boot on safe mode -safe mode with network.... load all drivers and then reboot...

No virus/spyware are loaded, i've check registry and i've avg 8 updated and activated.

I attach also an Everest report of my system.

Thanks
Dario

sounds like you may be having a problem with a wireless or network card.

try uninstalling and then restarting shuold be redetected and reinstalled

Slam, i've tried to reinstall wlan (that also in first case works great after the error), using wzc or utility, but nothing is changed. 25-35% hardware interrupt cpu load.
ok have you got the latest driver for the card?

it might be the card itself has gone faulty, do you have another card you could try?
Slam, i've this card from 2 year and this is the first time that i've this problem...
I think that we must focus something else... yes the drivers il the last.
tnx
the fact you have had the card for 2 years means it could well go faulty hardware can fail at any particular time it likes and the problem you are reporting is indictive of a NIC fault either driver related, which you are looking at now, or hardware related
Ok, so what can i try now ?
update driver def first thing to try, if they are the most up to date then do you have an alternative card that you can try?

As long as its a desktop should be nice and easy to swap out
Ok slam, i've removed network card, sound card and all other usb things. Just video card, hd and dvd. Result is the same, 25% load of cpu due to interrupt.
And now ?

Thats very strange then.

can you tell me your ram and page file set up please

the strange thing is that if the hardware interrupts are still occurring with all peripherals pulled then athe problem lies with one of the remaing items could be the video card i guess but id expect a complete fail of the system

Looking at the ram problem now as it might be having issues withg the paging file but let me know your VM setup
Yes,
i've 2 DDR2 1 GB (KIT CORSAIR DDR2 800Mhz 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400 Dual Channel "XMS2" CL4 "DHX" ) setted manually on bios (Asus PN5SLI) (the only way to make it works at 667mhz) :
AI TUNING : manual
CPU/MEM : 1067 mhz
FSB : 1067 mhz
MEM SPEED : 667
TIME : tcas = 4 trcd = 4 trp = 4 tras = 12 2T (Clock)

My swap file is Personalized dimension  : Start 2048 Mb Max 4092 Mb on boot partition and stop
Ah, obviously i've seen 2000 post that tell to check UDMA mode of IDE controller and the two channels are setted correctly to UDMA mode (NOT PIO).
well you max swap file is too big for my liking i would be looking at a 1gb initial and 2.5 gb max however that shouldnt affect it that much?

the only think i can see that MIGHT be causing teh interrupts is the manual setting on the RAM but id be amazed if it was
Tried to default all bios value to auto , but result is the same.
Is it normal that PCI Express speed is 100 mhz ? (this is the default when i set frequency to MANUAL in bios)
And now ?
Swap file is now decided by windows...
dont think that frequyency is standard it depends on your MOBO and set up

if the swap file doesnt fix it then i have to be honest and say you have me stumped!!
In some forum i've seen that it could be depend of raid drivers. My system is running on a raid5 array, so i can't try to disable it.
And drivers is the last...
:( system is really slow for a 2gb core 2
apologies didnt even think to ask about raid as though we were looking at satndard desktop.

this could be the load due to the striping but also there are a lot more reportable issues when dealing with raid and hardware interrupts

have you used KernView before breaks down what is using what of your CPU?

get it from here

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=d6e95259-8d9d-4c22-89c4-fad382eddcd1&DisplayLang=en

and we can work out what driver is using what, apologies for not thinking of this sooner

im leaving work in 5 but ill check back in later on this evening to see where we are at
