Installation and and configuration issue

My client are currently with Yahoo! biz as their web mail host, they are also using workgroup to communicate withing their org. However, they want to advance to Domain and have purchased SBS.

Yahoo biz have replied that they do not have MX record service; as i could have used this to pull down their mails; is there any other way to pull their respective internet mails to the Pop3 connector manager?

They have also mentioned that they would want copies of their mails retained on their web mail even when pop3 has pulled down a copy; i know that we can ask the ISP to activate this from their end but i do not know whether Yahoo biz offer this service

You don't need to keep the mail going through Yahoo!. Instead, you should change the MX record configuration on the domain so that it points directly towards the SBS server. Mail is then delivered directly to the SBS, rather than going to Yahoo! first.

The POP3 connector in SBS is only intended as a temporary solution anyway - it is by no means a tool you could use in the long-term for retrieving your mail.

I don't know where your domain and external DNS is currently hosted, but if it is at Yahoo and they are not allowing you to change your MX configuration, then it is time to move elsewhere.
