DFS Levels
Hello,
I was wondering if it is possible to have different levels of DFS paths. For instance, we want to have a DFS root called "Shared" and under Shared we would have the company folders. In this case we have 4. so it will be
\\domain\Shared
\Company A
\Company B
\Company C
\Company D
Everyone with me so far? Ok. Company B has 2 divisions in it. A financial and general business division located in different cities. The Business and financial divisions have their own DFS root and links but we want to standardize every company to one letter. So the way things look with this added info is
\\domain\Shared
\Company A\
\Company B\ Business\"Shared"\multiple links
Financial\One New link
\Company C
\Company D
Apparently this can't be done. Does anyone have any experience with this type of situation. We were thinking of just separating the 2 divisions at the company level.
