users unable to add network printers

you do not have sufficient access to your computer to connect to the selected printer.


domain users are members of the local "Remote Desktop Users"


I have added a third Citrix Presentation Server (version 4.5) to my existing Citrix Farm.
The other two Citrix servers in the same farm are running Presentation Server 4.0.

Users are able to login to the 4.5 server but when they try to add a network printer they get the error
"you do not have sufficient access to your computer to connect to the selected printer".
The same users can add network printers when they login the other version 4.0
Presentation Servers.

Why are users unable to add network printers to the 4.5 Presentation server?

It is possible that the printer driver is not installed.  You can install them by going to the server and opening Printers & Faxes.  Then click File->Server Properties->Drivers tab->Click Add.

Now they should be able to add the printer.  If you have an HP Laserjet printer, I would recommend using the Universal Printer Driver:

the Universal drivers didn't load, but after locally installing the drivers to the new Citrix server and editing the local security policy to allow users to configure printer drivers everything worked.  thanks.
