We recently upgraded to 4.1.3 from 4.1.2, and after this happened users stopped being able to access email attachments from their Blackberry's, getting the "Attachment server not found" error, and the red x. The attachment server is installed on the same server as BES, and it is configured to local host. All ports are default, and the attachment and dispatcher service are running.

I've checked all three event logs, there is nothing in there, and I've run over everything in their knowledgebase article here:

http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB03702&sliceId=SAL_Public&dialogID=142536399&stateId=1%200%20142528368

And still have the problem. Support may be the issue, but I'm hoping to avoid the cost if possible, I'm hoping someone else has had this problem and knows the fix.

Ended up running the update again, no setting changes, no change, ran it a third time no change, problem fixed...not sure what the deal was.
