I have made a flash project and I'm trying to make a cookie that will only run when you enter the website. I don't want it to run again when you return to the home page. I'm all new at this and really have no idea.

I am not a Flash expert but if you want a solution in Flash then look at a Shared Object.  There is info on this, including info on making, writing, and reading them, at http://www.permadi.com/tutorial/flashSharedObject/index.html .

Another method would be to use Javascript cookies.  However you would need to use Javascript to write the object that has the Flash too or Javascript couldn't "stop" the Flash.  There is a great tutorial and script for Javascript cookies at http://www.quirksmode.org/js/cookies.html .

Let me know how this works as a start.  If you have a question or need more info let me know.
