Exchange connection error

users on our network are not able to connect to the Exchange 5.5 server. When they press send/receive they get the error posted. I have tried rebooting the server and then restarting all exchange services to to avail. Logs show no service startup errors. Im not sure where to look next

Have you checked in Exchange system Manager to make sure your Mailbox Store is mounted?

ICNTech, what was the solution, I am having the same issue, but with Exchange 2003, and Outlook 2003.

It was a corrupt MTA database, I had to replace all MTA files with the ones on the Exchange 5.5 disk and use MTACheck to verify the new files.
