Can I just rename a 2003 Native DC that is currently the FSMO Master?

Our network originally started with a single DC but has increased to about 6 or so. Since the original installation our naming convention has changed to accomodate multiple sites and services. Are there any implications in renaming the original DC that currently has all of the FSMO Master Roles?
