Create!Form printing on Zebra Label Printer

As anyone has experience with label printer. I am trying to print 3 x 5 label on the label printer (Zebra S4M) through Create!Director when I submitted the job from jde. However, somehow the printer is not printing correctly. It is not printing the whole label. I have checked different drivers and changed the page size but of no use.

When you say it is not printing the whole label, what do you mean? Is it only printing the left side, right side, top, bottom, every third character? Is it printing in a larger font than expected? Does the print appear to be truncated? Is the printer locally attached, or on a network? What is the OS on the machine to which it is connected?

The label is 3 x 5.  The printing is well aligned and correct font size.  However it is printing only half of the label. For example, if I am printing 3 labels and each label supposed to have  "TAJ MAHAL", "TAJ MAHAL", "TAJ MAHAL".  It prints only "TAJ MA", "TAJ MA", "TAJ MA".  It prints only part of the first label and goes to next second label.  Then prints half of the label on the second one and goes to third and SO ON.

The printer Zebra LP2844 is on network and it is attached to the windows machine (create!form server) via TCP/IP?

OS is Windows Server 2003 with service pack 2.

I think it may be paper size.  I also checked it.  I set the page size in the create!form designer as 3 x 5.  I also set the size of the label on the printer setting as 3 x 5.

Hello, tgatif,

Zebra printers sometimes seem to have peculiar requirements to get them to print properly. We have several, in a setting pretty much identical to yours, on which we've had to set the paper size to settings that were different from the actual label size in order to get them to print properly. Unfortunately, it was a trial-and-error elimination to find the "right" settings.

Which Zebra labels are you using, and what are the margin settings on the labels?

I have Zebra S4M ZPL and Zebra LP2844.

The label size in both printers are same 3x5.

I am printing via Create!Form.  The only margin setting in the configuration is the left margin.  The left margin is 0.

Is there any right margin setting?

If you try to print labels of that size from outside the Create!Form program, from a word processing program, for instance, are you successful? If so, I'd say there is a setting in the program itself that needs to be changed.

Download the special drivers from seagull scientific.  These drivers are free and specifically developed for label printers.
