Is there a Smart Start CD for the Proliant ML110
I'm starting a brand new install on a ML110, but HP either failed to send me a smart start CD for it or there are none; Nothing on their site...
Yeah, I know I can just install it old school, but I was just wondering

100 series aren't proper Proliants so they don't use smartstart. There is an easyinstall CD on HP's web but only for the G5s.

The above link isn't valid anymore, where can I find the SmartStart for the ML110? Thanks

Sorry man, you just can't anymore. I'm the original poster and the one who found the link..
HP, for reasons only known to them, removed all vestiges of a smart start CD from their website, bummer because I found it, installed a couple of servers with it, and them promptly lost my copy! Doh!
So, now, to install a 100 series you have to go "old school" and get seperate drivers, hit F6 on windows set up, blah blah blah... Server 2008 is a litttle nicer then previous versions, as far as setup, at least it let's you use any media to install them, unlike the others which only accepted floppies!! :)

That's awesome andy! Upuntil a month ago they really had nothing up there...
But lke cbehrent said, that will only work with G5's, and believe it or not you can still buy brand new G4's from HP...

You mean all Gen8 servers.
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/22678.html?jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN
now you have to download all of the drivers & applications from 'Support & drivers' site of hp:
http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html
you need to install them after os installation.
hope it helps.
