I am getting popups from PC Privacy Cleaner and Antivirus 2008 PRO.  How can I go about removing these form my system without buying the software that these applications are prompting me to buy to get rid of the program?

I would suggest using Rogue Remover:

Then download, update and run Superantispyware in safe mode:

Good luck!!!

Thanks.  Ill give it a try.  Why these two?  I haven't heard of them.  I have Spyware Doctor and Adaware on my PC.  Are these much better?

Rogue Remover is designed to get rid of scam ware such as the two popups you mentioned.
Superantispyware is the industry leader for removing malware, in my humble opinion.

I had to use 5 different spyware programs to resolve the issue.  Superantispyware did nothing and Rogue Remover found nothing also.  The main ones I used was Norton Antibot, Spybot S & D, and Cleanxxxx.-Forgot the name.

OK. I'm glad you got it sorted.
But I am very surprised that an updated Superantispyware scan in safe mode found nothing, but Spybot S&D did...
