Hello Experts,
I have a problem with Lotus Notes, When someone creates a email and copies someone on it, this is what is put in the CC: box=  maria whitley <maria_whitley%BURCO@burcoservices.com>. Why is it not putting the internet address which should be mwhitley@burcoservices.com. it only does this on the carbon copy box and everything else works fine. we are using version 6.5 and 7 and this does not effect everyone.
thanks for the help.

I would check to see if the address is coming from the personal rather Public address book.

I hope this helps !

Its not the address books I checked, It apears that this is happening when someone sends a message outside the company and copies someone in the company, then when the outside vendor replies to all it jacks up the CC: portion of the address as shown in the oringinal question.

For outgoing emails, the address translation is set on the server.

You need to check the settings in the SMTP translation, and test them with an outside Yahoo or hotmail account to see how they arrive.

It is possible that the problem is at the other end, so you need to see the headers first to see if it is your side or the other one, messing it up.

I hope this helps !

I am testing your solution right now, I think it will work because in the SMTP Address Conversion page I switched the Domiono Domains included to None and this made the example address look like a internet address and not including some weird characters. I will let you know if the solution works.
