We have 5 users running off of one file/app SBS in our internal network. We got Forfront Security free of charge for being a Microsoft partner. We already have ISA 2006 running and working like a champ. The server is also the DC, Exchange server, as well as other roles. From what I've read, Forefront is WAYYY too powerful and encompassing to even waste our time with. All we need is an antivirus solution. We had Kaspersky and our licenses ran out. We're investigating whether it's a good idea to renew our licenses, or just install Forefront.

Please share your thoughts and opinions. We'd like to make a decision by end of week.

I have never seen an article verifying Forefront is completely compatible with SBS 2003. I would be careful installing and as you say it may be overkill. As I understand it, it will be compatible with Essentials Business Server and as a result I would guess SBS 2008. The closet article I could find that implies it at least wont 'break' SBS is:

Q: When considering service opportunities around security, can Microsoft Forefront be used in Windows SBS 2003 environments?
A: Forefront is designed to be installed on a server functioning as an Edge Server running Exchange 2007. It will install on Windows SBS 2003, however, you will not be able to utilize it to its fullest capability. The best scenario for using Forefront Security suite is to install it on an Edge Server that also has ADAM installed.
