Hi Guys

can anyone suggest an alternative to chkdsk to run an on-the-fly health check on a volume with 4.7TB of data?

i have a coruption error on this volume and need to try to fix it with the minimum of disruption.

I'm afraid there's nothing reliable that could do this on the fly. For the errors to be fixed, the volume must not be in use by the OS, so that means you'll have to run chkdsk /x on that drive, and if there are services accessing the volume, the PC will need to do this while starting up. I'm afraid you will need to plan downtime of the server. Best on a weekend.
