Cursor jumps outside editable region in Contribute 4

Hi - I'm new to supporting Contribute so I appreciate the help!  Several users have complained that, as they are typing in "edit" mode, the cursor jumps outside the editable region so the display seems to jump to the top of the page being edited.  (The edits do still take place, only blind!).  This happens with any key, and as far as I am aware no changes have been made to the server or the underlying DWT template files.  We have 2 separate sites (mirror and production) and the problem exists on both.  The reporting users are using different keys and working in different folders.  Some are on VIsta and others on XP.  I understand that there are "issues" with Contr.4 and Vista, but we can't give everyone CS3 just yet!

Hi ajw_93,

Frankly, all versions of Contribute are still pretty buggy but CS3 is the best of the bunch at the moment.

If the issue is occuring on both XP and Vista, about the only thing you can do is open the .dwt in Dreamweaver and run the Check Template Syntax command.  If that comes up clean, it isn't a fundamental issue with the Template and most likely a Contribute bug.

Check the Adobe Contribute KB for similar issues and if nothing is there, open a ticket with their tech support.

I object to the deletion without follow-up from the asker. At least let us know why the question is being removed.
