Win XP: How to make monitor 2 on Desktop primary display

Dear experts:

I am trying to use Dell projector which  will display PowerPoint from Win XP PC.

For some reason, Monitor 1 which is primary display is not display on the projector until I drag it out of the screen.

How to make monitor 1 projected on the screen without being dragged ?

You should be able to clone your primary screen to the projector. If you have a laptop, there's usually a button on your keyboard looking like one monitor or perhaps two. Press down your FN-button and the button looking like a monitor. Press it twice might be nescessary.

Otherwise you can clone  your screen through the settings in your Display Properties. If you can't find it, I can guide you through it if you tell me which graphic card you have.

It you're just showing a PowerPoint presentation, you can go to the Slide Show options and specify which monitor you want the presentation to display on.  That way you can have your main powerpoint window with notes etc on your laptop screen and just the slides on the big screen.  Of course, this tip is not much help if you're not showing PowerPoints :-).
