Hi all,

I'd like to set up a non-anonymous vsftpd account which would allow users to:
- create folders
- upload files

And deny them to :
- delete folders
- delete files
- overwrite files

Any idea of how to to this ?
Note: I'm under Fedora Core 4.

Thanks,
Ben

from the command line, set the sticky bit on that dir. e.g.

chmod +t /path/to/dir

This will give you what you want

Hi,

Thanks, but the sticky bit avoids only deleting by another user.
In this case, the user will be the same for each person that will use the ftp !

Other ideas ?
Thanks, Ben

Have a crontab job that will change files / folders ownership and perms so that user can not delete

That's not the perfect solution, but if there's no other one ... :)
Thanks,
