How do I create a web page that queries data from an sql database in visual studio 2005

I would like to know the steps it takes to create a web page to query data in a sql database based on a selection of a specific piece of data from that database.

The best way to learn this is to go to www.asp.net  They have samples and articles that are far better than anything we could right in these comments.
