My question:  is there any caveats to consider while changing the SA password for MSDE on BES 4.1 on Win2k3 sp1?

Just make sure that no other apps are using MSDE.

You wil also need to change it in the BES manager.

I have not done this recently, but I think that was it.

Worst case, I think I simply reinstalled it.

I hope this helps !
