I am just wondering if it is possible to configure 2 ports on a 2950 to failover if one of the links goes down.

possible configuration:- 2950 connected via an rspan link to our network. the 2950 is then connected to two servers. can i configure the switch to failover between ports if one of these servers goes down?

(This might be simple but i've just got too much on I can't think straight!)

No, you would need a load balancer of some sort (CSS or ACE in the Cisco world) to do it on the network side or do some sort of clustering on the servers.  You can setup NIC teaming and failover on each server with two NIC's but it doesn't buy you much plugging into the same switch.
