Central Time Zone is weird

Ok. Our main office is in the Eastern Time Zone.  Though we also have a sales force in Central Time zone.  Whenever someone who is in central Timing sets an appointment in their outlook calendar, the appointment spans across two days.

IS there a reason for this?

What are the timeframes for the appointments in question?

It's not my calendar, but it looks like it may be all day appointments.  They have little clock icons by them.  The ones that are scheduled for like an hour, or two hours do not have that icon, and they are only on one day.
