I recently took over a network with a sonicwall 2040.  Unfortunately I have not been able to access the configuration at the standard address (192.168.168.168).  I'm able to connect to the device through the serial port, but I do not know how to use the command interface.  Is there a way to reset the configuration page to the default address or to find out what address it is currently set to?

Is this device also your default gateway?  if so, just try accessing it via http or https at that address, if no luck try your outside ip address.  If you have an ip address scanning utility like sw network browser, you can scan for it.
you may need to enter these commands to enable the http access once you have the ip address
web-management http enable
web-management http port default

you may also look at the inside interface for its ip address to know for sure.
Show interface status <x1|x2|x3|x4|x5>
also
show web-management
should show your web management status

Thanks and hth

The password I used to log onto the serial port is not working for the web admin page, I'm guessing they use two different passwords?  Is it possible to just reset the web admin password?
