Exchange 2007 setup One or more servers in the existing organization is running Exchange Server 2003 without sp2

Hello,
we are running 2 exchange 2003 servers with servicepack2. (on windows 2003 server with servicepack 1)
During install of a new exchange 2007 machine ( cd with sp1) i get the following error:

One or more servers in the existing organization is running Exchange Server
2003 without Service Pack 2 (or later). Installation cannot proceed until exist
ng Exchange Server 2003 computers are upgraded to Service Pack 2.

Can anyone help us ?

After installing service pack 2 were those machines rebooted?  I have seen it before that SP do not register until after a reboot...I would try that first.

Have you tried reinstalling service pack 2 again...are you running exchange 2003 servers in a dmz?  that you may have missed?
