On one particular machine, when I launch Outlook (my account does have admin. rights) the program launches, but so does the "Startup" screen.  When I go through the wizard, it fails because, according to the error message, the SQL Servier service is not running.  However, SQL services are running, and 2 cannot be started.  Those are SQL Server (MSSMLBIZ) and SQL Server Active Directory.  In the Event Log, MSSMLBIZ won't open because:  OS Error 5 (Access is denied).  For SQL AD, the Event Log says:  "0" is an invalid number of start up parameters.  The service takes two start up parameters.

I'd like to get rid of the Startup wizard, and not configure Business Contact Manager.  But I can't get around this.  Thoughts?

What startup screen are you referring to
- BCM Start-up Screen
- Outlook Start-up Screen

If BCM Start-up screen and you dont want to configure it, why not just uninstall it?

Ininstalling does solve the problem, however my underlying question, which may be rhetorical, is why is this the case on this particulary machine?  I've done this install before, opted not to install BCM, and all was fine.  This time, such was not the case.  Each time I opened Outlook, I'd get the prompt to set up BCM.

Thank you very much.  Uninstalling it really did to the trick, quite obviously -well, not immeadiatly to me!  However, I don't know why many Outlook installs are often different from one another.  Computers.  Who knows.
