I need to install Sql Server Management Studio on my workstation.

Is this under sql native client installation? I hope not, this keeps failing to install.

It is available as a seperate download - are you sure it is the 2008 version ? The first release candidate (RC0) has just been released, so is porbably worthwhile lookinf at that rather than the CTP version previously available...

But for 2005 SSMS goto : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=c243a5ae-4bd1-4e3d-94b8-5a0f62bf7796&displaylang=en

for 2008 RC0 (release candidate 0 as at 10th Jun 2008) : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=35f53843-03f7-4ed5-8142-24a4c024ca05&DisplayLang=en

And the general SQL Server site : http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-au/sqlserver/default.aspx

And for 2008 assistance, goto  http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms166016(SQL.100).aspx and follow the links.
