I use camtasia to record a video played by windows media player 11. But all i get is a black screen with sound. Then i try recording again with media player classic and everything is ok. Is this a camtasia's bug ?

No it's the direct draw on your video, you need to pause the movie before starting the capture,
or start it before you play the video.
There should be a settting in Camatasia to disable the direct draw before capturing yoru screen will go blck for a sec whenever you start and stop teh capture.
But please pause the video prior to capturing
otherwise
go to start run type in dxdiag, then go to display and stop the direct draw acceleration minimise dxdiag do you capture save it etc,
then put it back it back on.
But shouldnt have to do it that way.
