I know that file is used to connect to tomacat and apache .. following are the few line that i  extracted from my in my webserver..

can some please explain what does it means?

that define 3 connections
1. localworker is a ajp13 connection to port 8009 on localhost
2. foreignworker is a ajp13 connection to port 8009 on XX.XX.XX.59
3. dealerportal is a ajp13 connection to port 8009 on XX.XX.XX.64

they are just the names of the connectuions. You use those in your apache config to specify what connection to use
