I have a Philips Freevents laptop model 12NB5800, it came with Vista but wasn't compatable for our older software so i downgraded it to XP.
No problems at all there runs very well and a lot faster, Only problem is for the life of me i can not find the audio driver anywhere.
I have visited a few places as these laptops are supposed to be branded Twinheads the one i have is the J12S the only audio drivers listed are for Vista and it doesn't say what the card is.
I realy need this driver in a rush as we do presentation work from this laptop and need to have audio on etc.
Anyone help pleas.
Cheers

According to the Twinhead site it has  Intel® High Definition Audio
The J12S chipset is the     *  North Bridge: Intel® 965GM * South Bridge: Intel® ICH8-M
You might want to install the chipset driver from Intel first and then the Microsoft UAA as stated in this guide.
http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/sb/CS-009244.htm

The trouble will be finding them.
You can use the Intel chipset identification tool to help with the first.

The MS UAA is a bit harder to come by but may be available here, click on the link just below where it says "Hotfix Download Available" at the top of the page.

Fantastic.
Downloaded the hotfix the other stuff didn't work, Once the hotfix was on the computer could see what it should have had, then went onto driverzone and it allowed me to download the correct drivers, I now have Audio.
You are a star, Well Done.
