Cisco switch 2950G IOS 12.2 how do I confirm rapid spanning-tree (RAPID-PVST) is running

Ona Cisco 2960G switch running IOS 12.2  spannign tree is running and if I issue a  "sh spanning tree" command I get output as follows : -
 Spanning tree enabled protocol ieee
 Root ID    Priority    24586
            Address     0016.4704.1e80
            Cost        19
            Port        1 (GigabitEthernet0/1)
Hello Time   2 sec  Max Age 20 sec  Forward Delay 15 sec

 Bridge ID  Priority    32778  (priority 32768 sys-id-ext 10)
            Address     0019.0692.a100
Hello Time   2 sec  Max Age 20 sec  Forward Delay 15 sec
            Aging Time 300

BUT, it doesnt tell me what version is running. How do I confirm Rapid-PVST is running.
Happy on how to turn it on by issuing    "spanning-tree mode rapid-pvst "
If it turns out it is not running and, I decide to turn it on what would be the effect if any. Would I experience any down time whenI turn this on?

Changing spanning tree modes would result in a re-convergence of the network so you could experience a loss of connectivity. I would wait for a maintenance window or at least a slow period.

"Spanning tree enabled protocol ieee" means 802.1d spanning tree.

If you were running 802.1w rapid spanning tree it would say "rapid pvs"
