Hello,

Client has a laptop that will not connect to websites using IE7 or Firefox, also cannot run updates with AVG.  I have tried several different connections with no luck.  Safari however works great.  She had Norton installed and I uninstalled it   Still no connection.  It's running Vista Ultimate.  Ultimate piece of junk, imho.

Try this:

Repairing TCP/IP Stack may be the solution you are looking for.  Not that familiar with Safari...but if you can ping external IP addresses (such as www.nfl.com or 4.2.2.5) and still can't use IE7 then it is sometimes a software firewall that has blocked it (like Norton which you removed) or the TCP/IP stack.

Hope this helps
