what backup software is good for apple?  I want to backup off-site to a non apple site

What backup software works well with apple and I can backup off-site to a location other than that .mac thing?  thanks

There are a range of Backup Applications for OSX .. one of the most flexible is called ChronoSync (http://www.econtechnologies.com/site/Pages/ChronoSync/chrono_overview.html)

IT isn't FREE but it is hard to beat in terms of functionality and performance.

If you want to go down the FREE line you can look at the in-built rsync tool in OSX

or for a slightly more easy to manage method using Transmit, Automator and iCal
