DNS Server is mapping multiple Hostnames with the same ipaddress on large scale

DNS Server is mapping multiple Hostnames with the same ipaddress on large scale. I am trying to delete them one by one by making sure which one is the resl and which is false. i.e.

PC1  10.0.1.3
PC2  10.0.1.3
PC3  10.0.1.3
PC4  10.0.1.3

Please help me how to fix this.

We have different vlans  i.e. 10.0.25.1 to 10.0.25.254 and 10.0.17.1 - 10.0.17.254

Scavenging will remove records that have the setting "Delete this record when it becomes stale" and haven't been updated by its host. The checkbox is hidden if not selecting View|Advanced in the DNS-MMC.
DNS updates are done by DHCP Client service, which neads to be set to start automatic on each host to keep its host record alive.

Enable scavenging for the DNS-zone
zone-properties->Aging->Scavenge stale resource records

I heard from someone that scavenging should be used carefully coz it might even remove those records which ar currently being used. is that true ?
