Free PDF creator for X64?

I am using PDF creator from http://www.pdfforge.org/products/pdfcreator
we wish to use it for x64 windows but can not find a way to get it to work! somehow our previous network admin seems to have got it right because it seems to work on one of the machines where it is installed, but now that i do it myself it won't install, so i really don't know what he did.

IS there any way to get this free pdf creator to work on x64? or any other good, free x64 pdf creator (that will work that create special file extensions... for drawing, autocad and graphisoft and 3dsmax)

Please advice, please do not advice primopdf, cause it won't work with the extensions we need.

thanks a lot in advance

the solution was simple, i solved myself, the error 5 was due to admin rights... anyway thanks to all.

Have you tried PDF995?

http://www.pdf995.com/suite.html

If you get the free version you have to put up with some adverts but it is a good pdf creator.

Have you contacted the group, forum or author of pdfcreator? I believe that they are responsive and it is still a very good and active project.

Also, from their forum on this subject on XP 64 bit...

"Use the exe setup instead the msi package. "

Might work!

I have posted a question on their site, and someone replied saying that it works with x64.... so i'm surprised i can't get it to work. last time i tried i had a message like ''error code 5'' or something during the installation.

i will try again today and come back with more information, if it really is supposed to work with X64, then i guess the mistake/error is elsewhere, there must be another reason for which i am unable to install it...

I tried installing the creator on an x32 machine, and i get the same error i got last week on the x64, i paste the error here... if anyone has any idea about what might be wrong? Seems like an error 5, something seems to be preventing the installation, but i don't know what... i'll continue my investigation on my side, but if anyone has any ideas... they are welcome, many thanks
