After installing an operating system we will require a lot of Windows updates to be installed. Is there a way to download just the updates to the machine.

Hi,

After installing an operating system we will require a lot of Windows updates to be installed. Is there a way to download just the updates to the machine.
As i need WSUS server nor access to internet.
Any software that can download files from the server and save it to the folder as per the OS selected.

you can visit this site:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads

in the upper right hand corner, click on 'windows'

on the next page select the version of windows in the drop-down box. this will filter your search to the specific version you want. always download and install the latest service pack first (as service packs typically include many of the smaller, previous updates).

Yes absolutely free. It's a project from a popular german computer magazine which automatically downloads all MS Updates to a chosen product. You can install the updates locally, over the network or have the program make an iso image to burn on a cd.
